This isn’t a “do marketing for marketing’s sake” kind of role. It’s a seat at the table for someone ready to lead strategy, drive meaningful results, and build long-term partnerships with their clients. 

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position is responsible for leading marketing strategy and client relationships for a portfolio of high-performing financial advisory firms. Specific responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

Client Strategy & Management 

  • Serve as primary relationship lead and strategic marketing consultant for a portfolio of clients 
  • Develop and lead marketing strategies aligned with each client’s business goals 
  • Scope, manage, and oversee the execution of marketing initiatives and campaigns 
  • Collaborate with our internal team to deliver branding, messaging, content, and project support 
  • Lead client meetings, maintain clear communication, and provide proactive follow-up and planning 
  • Track time, manage client expectations, and ensure accounts remain healthy and profitable 

 

Strategic Execution Support 

  • Guide development of core marketing deliverables, including: 
  • Brand messaging and positioning 
  • Website strategy and content 
  • Social media calendars and campaigns 
  • Client and prospect experience design 
  • Event planning and promotional campaigns 
  • Bring clarity and coordination to complex projects by organizing inputs, timelines, and communication 

 

Firm Growth & Collaboration 

  • Identify opportunities to deepen client relationships by recommending meaningful project work and help bring those projects to life 
  • Share insights that improve client outcomes and strengthen how we operate as a firm 
  • Support firm-led training, workshops, or marketing initiatives as needed 
  • Help deliver a client and team experience that makes people say, “Working with WGP feels different in the best way”

  • Confident leading client relationships and guiding marketing strategy 
  • Clear, calm, and organized in how you manage work and priorities 
  • Grounded in strategy, but unafraid to get into the details 
  • Curious, thoughtful, and motivated by helping professionals grow 
  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a fast-moving environment 

 

WHAT YOU KNOW:

  • Bachelor’s degree required 
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in marketing, communications, or consulting roles 
  • Direct experience working with or within financial services firms strongly preferred 
  • Strong writing, strategic thinking, project management, and relationship skills 
  • Proven ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities simultaneously 
  • High attention to detail and comfort with collaborative tools (Canva, Teams, Asana, etc.)
